Clutch dampers

Clutch dampers are elastic transmission elements for vibration isolation in the drive system.

Clutch dampers are elastic inserts that sit between metal clutches to absorb torque peaks. They dampen shocks and vibrations and are used, among other things, in rail vehicles, pump drives, and shredding plants to protect gears and shafts from torsional vibrations.

  • Materials are usually NBR or NR in various hardness classes.
  • Compensation for rotational and linear misalignment.

  • Protection of the gearbox from overload and vibrations.
