Quad/X-rings

The quad or X-ring is the four-lip specialist for minimized friction and maximum reliability when sealing dynamic applications.

Quad and X-rings have an X-shaped cross-section that forms four point sealing contacts. They are preferred for use in dynamic stroke applications, double-acting cylinders, and oscillating movements. The geometry reduces friction compared to O-rings because a lubricating film can form between the lips. Furthermore, they are extremely resistant to twisting during dynamic stroke movements.
